For as long as I can remember, I have had a love, and my Love’s name is New York City. In 25 days, from this post, I will be going to NYC for the first time. I have non-refundable plane tickets and a friend to stay with in Soho and believe me I will be going! I have this curse, that if I say “I’ll see you tomorrow” or “I’m going to do _________” (fill in the blank) somehow, through no fault of my own it never ends up happening for me. This time, its different. It almost didn’t happen actually, a group of us were going to go for fall break and we all backed out throughout the monthsbecause of finances. But because of awesome Amanda, she found tickets for like $300 round-trip, I was convinced!
I digress, I will be there for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and I’m going to see the MET and NBC Studios. Go to Ellis Island and eat at a Chinese restaurant! I’M GOING TO A KNICKS GAME, and this is a big deal b/c I LOVE THE KNICKS! And, sigh, I finally get to go to the place I’ve been dreaming about for the last ten years. When I see that skyline from the plane window for the first time, I know I will cry. Tears of joy will be streaming down my face and I’ll be happier than I have been in a really long time.
